About Sonus

Since its founding in 1993, Sonus has grown into the largest professional hearing-care network in North America. Today Sonus offers multi-brand products to hearing-impaired consumers at more than 1,600 locations in the United States and Canada, including company-owned clinics and independent providers who are licensed Sonus Network affiliates. As an innovator and leader in hearing healthcare, Sonus is committed to hearing-loss education and prevention efforts, as well as supporting research into hearing-related disorders such as tinnitus.

Part of the Amplifon Group

In 2002 Sonus was acquired by the Amplifon Group, the global leader in hearing services, products and research. Based in Italy, Amplifon operates in several countries including Germany, Canada, Egypt, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United States. With an international network of more than 3,000 locations, Amplifon has become the largest distributor of hearing aids in the world. Amplifon is actively involved in audiological research. The company sponsors a number of projects in partnership with the Center for Research and Study (CRS), a nonprofit institution devoted to hearing education and research.

What is the Sonus Network?

The Sonus Network consists of independent hearing-care providers across the country. Network members enjoy access to a wide variety of products, suppliers, services and support programs. Membership for qualified providers is free. Once approved and licensed as a network affiliate, you can access the services that best meet the needs of your practice. Our underlying philosophy: "Be in business for yourself, not by yourself."

Partnership with manufacturers

Sonus has developed collaborative relationships with several leading manufacturers of hearing instruments and supplies. These companies offer education, training and technical support for our providers. Sonus, in turn, works with the manufacturers to develop products based on our input from consumers. As a Sonus Network affiliate, you can be certain that your patients are receiving the most advanced, highest-quality technology to precisely match their hearing needs, lifestyles and budgets.
